Digital Expressions

Susan Tuttle has written a marvelous book, "Digital Expressions" for Photoshop Elements and it is my intent to go through each of the 25 projects. The first on is vignettes, in case you couldn't tell. The grapes were cut off of the red flame vine yesterday. If you look closely you might spot a raisin or two; I need to get the grapes off of the vine ASAP.

Leg cramps rudely woke me up early  this morning and while walking them off outdoors on the patio I happened to notice how the palm tree a block over was glistening. I love it when they "plume" but the gardeners are making the rounds chopping them off along with a lot of the fronds, nothing can be left as nature intended.

Same image with some vignetting done in the center of the plumes. I hope that this vignette is subtle, it's the edges of the tree that are now blurred so that the plumes are the highlight. Hm, looks like it needs more work.

My neighbor has a new bird feeder and at 7:30am it was hectic around it. Some vignetting and manipulation.

"Oh mom, don't you have enough photos of me?"

Well loved Crocs! They're so broken down that I've added padded inserts that are in much need of replacement. Vignette with gradient lines added plus a little manipulation.  (Tip: google for PSE tutorials)
